Today, Renée and I dropped Kaylee off to spend time with her grandma and grandpa while we went to the World of Curry in Pacific Beach.

I was driving home when I lost the valve stem to yet another tire on my car today. With a loud *POP*, my car started leaning to the left hard. What fun! This is the second time this has happened on the same car... different tire. Don't take the little things for granted! All it takes is a faulty $2 piece of equipment on your nice sportscar to bring everything to a halt.

*rant rant rant*

Today I managed to squeeze in a couple chapters of translating as Kaylee and Renée visited her mom and friends. Kaylee won't sit still for the world now... she sees everything in her path as something she can use to stand up with. In the bathtub, she can stand without holding something for about 5 seconds... I have to wrap my arms around her nervously, though.

Tomorrow, we look for a puppy. I've waited 11 years to get another dog... I'm excited!

I'm listening to Sarah Fimm. Do yourself a favor and pick up her CD!

Today was a momentous day! My daughter said her first word! We visited our friends, Chris and Axia and watched Casshern. If you're a fan of stylized, Japanese, post-apocolyptic stories, this visually-stunning flick is a must-see. I've been scanning old photo album pictures in my "spare" time lately with my new HP 7400 All-in-one (Mmm...) and trying to create an online photo album for my family.

Other than that, I've been finishing up Trigun Maximum volume 6, a few other translation projects, studying for my Security+ exam, and heading back to school to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. I'm guessing my World of Warcraft characters won't be leveling up any time soon... ;)

Drop me a note! Peace out! A-town!

Kiki's Delivery Service Gets Live-Action Rendition

Argh! I'm dreading the Live Action Disney treatment of one of my favorite anime movies. I don't know about you guys, but the prospects of Disney using their "magic" to further ruin Miyazaki's legacy burns me up. What's next? Nausicaa on Ice?

Gods of Ping Pong!

This is a picture of me reading a book to my Grandma Pat when I was three. :)

Testing out "Hello" from Picasa and Google...
Okay okay... that wasn't REALLY my brother... he just has the same name... Am I the only one who googles the names of friends and family on rainy days? (Don't answer that... it was rhetorical and I know the answer. :P)

I'm actually a little bit ashamed at using the term "Google" as a verb. I fear that soon I will be referring to URLs as "earls", GIF as "Jiff", and Linux as "Lie-nix".

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I just turned on commenting on my blog (click comments below). Let me hear from you!

In the meantime, amuse yourself with some free Flash games.

The Brinks Robbery of 1981 - The Crime Library - The Crime library

Whoa! My little brother is infamous!

The defendants called only one witness, Nathaniel Burns, AKA Sekou Odinga, who claimed to be a soldier in the B.L.A. He said that his organization was "fighting for the liberation and self-determination of black people in this country." Burns testified that the killings were suitable because the three dead men had interfered with the "expropriation" and therefore deserved to die. In his view, the theft of money was morally justified because those funds "were robbed through the slave labor that was forced on them and their ancestors."
